Flags

5. February 2025

At our tracks, there are always track posts that tell you how to behave in certain situations by waving and holding certain flags. Here are the most important flags you should know about on our track:

National Flag

The national flag of Germany is mainly used at racing events and signals the start of the race. This flag is not usually used during practice runs.

Blue Flag held

If one of our track posts holds the blue flag, it means there's a faster kart right behind you. Prepare to make way for the other driver and let them pass.

Yellow Flag Waved

If the yellow flag is waved it means: Attention, danger on the track. You must then slow down and be extra vigilant until the danger is over. During this time there is an absolute ban on overtaking.

Black Flag with held Starting Number

The black flag is always displayed along with a starting number. This means that the kart with the corresponding number must go into the pit lane within the next lap. The reason for this may be a technical defect on the kart or a time penalty that must be complied with.

Red Flag

If the red flag is waved, the race must be stopped or stopped. All drivers must then move to the pit lane immediately.

Black and White Checkered Flag

If the black-and-white checkered flag is waved, the race or practice run is over. You should then head to the pit lane at the next opportunity.

Before you go to the kart track with us, you always get a briefing in which all the flag signals are explained to you once again. In addition, all the other rules and how a kart works are explained to you in a concise and understandable way, so that nothing stands in the way of a safe driving pleasure!

Want to try karting? Book your practice runs well in advance - we're looking forward to introducing you to karting at our tracks!
